Socially Savvy with Ms. Lisa began as a virtual classroom designed to enhance the development of social skills, emotional intelligence, and positive behavioral outcomes in young children and early years students.

Children experience social and emotional stimuli within moments of their birth.  The sounds of soothing voices, the warmth of secure arms, and those first cuddles all promote social emotional development.  Within their first weeks of life they learn their cries will result in a change in circumstance.  They learn comfort and relief will come in the sway of arms, the warmth of food, or the change of clothing.  They begin to form social bonds and attachments to you and other caregivers.  They are learning to communicate and process social emotional cues at an astounding pace.

However, not all children develop social emotional skills at the same pace.  Occasionally, learning to share spaces, people, and possessions can result in aggressive or atypical behaviors.  Some children will benefit from being taught with more intention, fidelity, modelling, and practice.  With this in mind, Socially Savvy with Ms. Lisa has developed an engaging and meaningful curriculum to provide children a range of social skills and emotional recognition practices from taking turns and making friends, to appropriately expressing emotions, developing empathy and kindness as well as tools to maintain body-control and emotional-regulation.  Classes offered include group, individual, or family sessions.  It's never too early to teach your child social-emotional skills, and it's certainly never too late.

Everyone is welcome here, so please come in and let's get started.
